A square cut (princess cut) moissanite has a flat, geometric face-up shape that reads as distinctly contemporary and architectural. A round brilliant is the classic choice — maximising sparkle and fire. Square cuts tend to look larger face-up for the same carat weight due to their broader profile, and they photograph differently — more graphic and defined in shape.
The setting style matters more than the cut shape. Both round and princess cut studs use push-back or screw-back posts.
