Both are square or near-square, but the defining difference is corner geometry. A princess cut has sharp, 90-degree corners, giving it an intensely architectural appearance. A cushion cut has softly rounded corners, creating a square shape with gentle curves that gives it a more romantic, antique feel. Princess cuts tend to look more modern and bold; cushion cuts look more vintage and soft. Both produce brilliant-style sparkle.
