The Asscher cut at 17ct DEW is the largest Asscher in GemHub & Co.'s collection — a stone of approximately 21mm square, the hall-of-mirrors effect operating at a scale where it ceases to be a visual property and becomes an experience.
A 17.0ct DEW Asscher cut measures approximately 21mm square. For reference: a US quarter coin is 24mm in diameter. Set in a ring, a 21mm square stone extends significantly beyond any finger. The step facets, at this size, are no longer individually small — each one is a mirror-like surface approximately 7–10mm wide, reflecting distinct planes of white light. Looking into the table of this stone at 17ct is not like examining a gemstone. It is like looking into a floor, then a wall, then a ceiling, all simultaneously reflected in a geometric pattern that has no clear beginning or end. It is the hall-of-mirrors at human scale.
The largest known natural diamond Asscher cuts in the world include the Cullinan III (94ct), Cullinan IV (63ct), and a small number of private-collection stones in the 20–40ct range. All of these are historical artifacts in institutional collections, not commercial products. Outside of moissanite, a 17ct Asscher cut stone is simply not commercially available at any price.
