What is I1 clarity for a men’s diamond ring?

I1 (Included 1) means inclusions may be visible to the naked eye under close inspection, particularly in stones above 0.50ct. For smaller accent or pavé-set stones in a men’s ring — where each individual stone is small and multiple stones together create the overall effect — I1 clarity is an appropriate practical choice. The visual impression of the ring as a whole reads as brilliantly diamond-set; individual stones are not examined in isolation during normal wear.

How do I buy a diamond ring as a gift without knowing the size?
