At 18.65ct DEW in the emerald cut, this ring creates a mirror surface approximately 22×16mm — a stone that reflects the room around it in geometric planes of white light at a scale that simply does not exist in any other commercial jewelry product.

At 18ct, does the emerald cut still show “fire” or is it only white light?

The emerald cut, being a step cut, produces less dispersed fire (rainbow colours) than brilliant cuts — this is true at all sizes.

However, at 18.65ct DEW, the step facets are large enough to catch and reflect ambient coloured light from the surrounding environment — walls, clothing, other light sources. The white-light reflections at this scale become the defining visual event: long, slow, cinematic planes of pure white light shifting across the stone’s surface as the hand moves. Fire becomes secondary; architectural light performance becomes primary.
